About the role:

We currently have a 6-month term contract full time position available commencing on the 12th of May 2025 for a reliable, flexible and customer service officer to join the Freight team in Alice Springs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating freight distribution for the region
• Loading and unloading freight from coaches and trailers, involving repetitive manual handling
• Processing quotes, bookings and payments for freight consignments
• Providing customer service of a high standard
• Responding to enquires at the freight counter and over the phone
• Maintaining computerised records for administration purposes
• Providing general support to the team.

• Forklift licence (desirable)
• Open manual License
• Satisfactory national criminal history check
• High levels of communication and customer service skills
• A presentable appearance and professional approach to your work

• Intermediate skills in the Microsoft suite of products
• A working knowledge of a freight Management or booking system
• A proactive ‘hands on’ approach
• The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
