About the role:

We currently have a full time position available for a reliable, flexible and customer service officer to join the Freight team in Tennant Creek. You will be put through a great training program and be joining a team of like minded people in a family friendly culture. We pride ourselves on the tenure of our employees.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating freight distribution for the region
  • Loading and unloading freight from coaches and trailers, involving repetitive manual handling
  • Processing quotes, bookings and payments for freight consignments
  • Providing customer service of a high standard
  • Responding to enquires at the freight counter and over the phone
  • Maintaining computerised records for administration purposes
  • Providing general support to the team.

  • Forklift licence (essential)
  • Satisfactory national criminal history check
  • High levels of communication and customer service skills
  • A presentable appearance and professional approach to your work
  • Reliability and flexibility to do shift-work

  • Intermediate skills in the Microsoft suite of products
  • A working knowledge of a freight Management or booking system
  • A proactive ‘hands on’ approach
  • The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
