About the Role

Greyhound Australia is seeking a reliable, hands-on Coach Cleaner & Freight Assistant to join our Alice Springs depot on a part-time or casual basis. This role combines freight customer service and handling with coach cleaning and general depot/yard duties.

Key responsibilities
Freight support and customer service:

  • Provide high quality service to customers by building rapport, understanding needs and recommending/selling suitable freight products
  • Answer enquiries, provide advice on freight options and complete required documentation
  • Sort, package, consign and deliver freight accurately, ensuring it is distributed to the correct location
  • Prepare invoices, take payments and ensure transactions are accurately recorded (including end-of-day banking)
  • Ensure compliance with freight restrictions, guidelines and company policies
  • Recommend improvements to freight processes and products and support a positive team culture

Coach cleaning and yard duties:

  • Clean and maintain coaches to support customer satisfaction, health and safety
  • Maintain clean work areas including cleaning bay, stores and depot
  • Stock control of cleaning products and consumables
  • Maintain presentation of company equipment and assist other staff as required
  • Manage lost property in line with company policies

Please note that you will be required to regularly work night shifts and weekends as part of these roles.
