About the role

We are seeking an experienced and operationally focused Roster & Scheduling Supervisor to take ownership of workforce planning across the network. This role is critical to ensuring daily service delivery is achieved through effective rostering, proactive planning, and strong coordination with depot teams and Operations Control.

You will play a hands-on role in managing coverage, anticipating gaps, and ensuring drivers and operational teams are positioned to meet business requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Own and manage the centralised roster to ensure full operational coverage across the network
  • Work closely with depot supervisors to confirm daily and forward staffing requirements
  • Identify and resolve coverage gaps in a timely manner to minimise operational disruption
  • Coordinate with depot supervisors to ensure all driver route training is completed and aligned with operational needs
  • Supervise Operations Control staff to ensure consistent, reliable support is provided to drivers across all shifts
  • Provide practical training and day-to-day support to Operations Control team members
  • Monitor roster performance and implement improvements to drive efficiency and reliability
  • Maintain clear communication with the Operations Manager regarding risks, coverage issues, and performance

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in rostering, scheduling, or transport/logistics operations
  • Strong understanding of operational environments with a focus on service delivery
  • Ability to make quick, informed decisions to resolve real-time staffing challenges
  • Confident communicator who can effectively engage with supervisors and operational staff
  • Proven ability to lead and support a team in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail
  • Basic fatigue Management (BFM) knowledge preferred but not essential
